The Continental Societies Inc. is very proud to offer scholarships to deserving students.
In 2018, our 1st place scholarship winner is Carrington Whigham. Carrington Whigham is a senior in the theater cluster, at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. She is primarily focussing on Acting, Film, Set Contruction, and Directing. She spends most of her time performing at the Black Academy of Arts and Letters, with Curtis King. Carrington has had the beautiful opportunity of playing Aunt Eller with director Joel Farrell and Cristi Vahle, and Daniela in In The Heights, directed by broadways Sandy Alvarez. As a graduate of 2018, Gods many blessings have made her stronger as an actor, women in Christ, singer, dancer, and team player. In 2018, our 2nd place scholarship winner is Dylan Hall. Dylan's plans are to attend Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana this fall to study Biochemistry in preparation for a career in medicine. In the long term, he plans include becoming an anesthesiologist and dedicating his life to serving the needs of others. He is a strong believer in the power of volunteerism and plan to create a community service platform to promote healthier living. He love sports and played football during his freshman year before shifting focus to weightlifting and high intensity physical conditioning. He is also an avid swimmer and enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures.The Dallas Chapter offers three scholarships:
